Software Developer

Scope of the Role:

Eluceda is searching for a Software Developer, based at the Burnley Head Office to assist in the company’s growth and would suit someone looking to grow within a fast moving company in developing cutting edge authentication solutions. 

To be successful in this role, you'll need to:

• Have extensive knowledge and experience of C#, Microsoft .Net, WPF, Git, API consumption, and Entity Framework.

• Python, Django, C, embedded programming will be an advantage.

• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Have good stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in a cross-skilled team.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide programming development and support in Eluceda’s own software suite for its electrochemical and taggant solutions.

• Provide internal programming and IT expertise for the development of the Eluceda

EDIS system with our development partners.

• Provide technical expertise into the technology delivery and commercial teams.

• Working collaboratively with the team to assist the operation of the production

applications, the applicant will improve the production platform and its integration

with the Eluceda EDIS information systems.

• Develop technical capabilities to move forward the Eluceda software as required by the

Technical team.

• Support relationships with the other areas of company to ensure that the IT team

works in harmony with the other changes and improvements.

• Work to the agreed prioritisation for development by understanding stakeholder

priorities, the technical capability of the platform and the strategies of both the

business and technology.

• Design, produce and update any necessary supporting documentation to enable IT

operations to manage processes.

• Identify and feedback any potential improvements to the organisations technology

and architecture.

• To ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all

times.

• Any other reasonable duties as required.

Skills and Experience:

Degree in the following fields:

- Computer Science

- Information Technology

- Software Development

• Extensive knowledge of and experience of:

- C#

- Microsoft .Net

- WPF

- Version control systems including CI and CD (Git)

- API consumption

- Entity Framework

• Familiarity with software development best practices including test driven development and object oriented programming

• Familiarity performing data analysis on experimental data

• Working knowledge of databases and SQL

• Working knowledge of HTML and Java script would be useful

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Time Management

• Ability to communicate concisely

• Attention to detail

• Multi-tasking

Requirements:

Ability to work remotely but will be required to visit the Burnley HQ 1-2 times per month.
