Head of Technology Delivery

Scope of the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales and/or Delivery Manager who will lead our team in delivering our varying technologies to existing and new customers. This will include our current proprietary taggant and related reader family, as well as new products including our patented E-Sens™ in-product authentication platform.

The major focus of this role is to deliver our technology in full, on time to our customers and in supporting the sales team. It will require extensive liaison between external customers and our internal R&D resource.

The Candidate:

You will need to have at least a degree level qualification in a relevant scientific discipline and a track record of delivering scientific technologies to blue chip companies, ideally including an element of software as part of the overall solution. Project/Programme Management experience will also be of benefit to this role.

Technical knowledge of some of the following would be beneficial: Authentication Technologies, Biosensors, Electrochemistry, Bacterial Detection methods.

Also, the ability to apply technologies into a sales environment is key to this role and the individual will need also to be self-starting, proactive and have the ability to motivate others in delivery of our systems. Tenacity and creativity are equally important combined with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Given the size and multisite nature of the business you have to be able to work in a multidisciplinary team and have the ability to work with people on different sites and continents. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Technology Delivery Team

• Delivery of our technology to our customers and potential customers

• Support the commercial sales activities

• Develop proposals for new technology delivery for customers

• Develop and build relationships with our key customers and partners

• Provide Technical Support to the sales function and customers

• Identify new technology applications

• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts within R&D in defining projects / objectives

Requirements:

You will be based at our Burnley HQ but also expected to travel to customers and potential customers for meetings. This will include UK and international travel, so a driving licence is essential. This role reports into the CEO but will require close working with the Commercial Director and CTO.
